Western Digital has announced the expansion of its My Book line of external drives with four new models with capacity of 2TB: Book Studio Edition, My Book Mac Edition, My Book Home Edition and My Book Essential Edition.
New models have similar characteristics: a nice design, compact dimensions, Kensington Security Slot, SmartPower and Safe Shutdown, 2 TB of space for data. The hdd's have guarantee of one year. My Book Essential Edition and Mac Edition connect via USB 2.0, while the My Book Home Edition and My Book Book Studio Edition models come with a USB / eSata / FireWire 400 and USB / eSata / FireWire 400 & 800, respectively.
New 2TB drives My Book Studio Edition, Home Edition and Essential Edition are already on sale with prices from $329.99 to $379.99, while the Mac Edition is planned for April month of the year.
