Nokia has announced five new low-end models, which should be available late this year or early 2010, where the cheapest Nokia 1280 should cost about 20 €.
We will start with a description of the best-featured Nokia 2690 model, which will be based on the S40 operating system. Camera will be VGA, 1.8-inch display with 128x160px resolution 256K colors, 3.5mm audio jack that has a place on only more expensive models and FM radio.
Connectivity is done via quad-band GSM / GPRS / EDGE, Bluetooth and microUSB.
For storage will be used microSD slot, with capacities up to 8GB. Nokia 2690 will be available in Graphite, White silver, Hot pink and Blue, with a suggested retail price of about 54 €, once at the beginning of 2010th year.
Nokia 2220 slide will be a lot like the previous model, supporting EDGE, FM radio and VGA 
camera, but will be produced in two versions:
- A model for the 900/1800 MHz
- And another for the GSM 850/1900 MHz
Display resolution is the same as the Nokia 2690, 128x160px, but with 65K colors. Cell phone will be available in six colors: Hot Pink, Graphite, Turquoise, Warm Silver, Purple and Blue.
In the stores is expected by the end of this year, with the price which should not exceed 45 €.
Models Nokia 1800 and Nokia 1616 are based on the S30 operating system, with display of 65K colors and resolution of 128x160px. It is characteristic that both models have the LED lamp.
The difference between the two aforementioned models is that Nokia 1616 has a 3.5mm audio jack, while the Nokia 1800 boasts FM receiver through headphones that are included in the package.
Nokia 1616 will be available in Black, Dark Blue, Dark Gray and Dark Red, and the Nokia 1800 in Silver Grey, Black, Orchid Red and Ash blue coor. Availability in the market is expected in the first (1616) and second (1800) quarter of next year, with a price of 24 and € 26, respectively.
The cheapest model is the Nokia 1280 with the announced price of 20 €, which will primarily be intended for developing countries and people who don't care about new technology. This phone will not be special, there will be m nochrome display.
Worthy of attention is that Li-ion battery with 800 mAh will be sufficient for 22 days in standby mode or for 8 hours and 30 minutes of conversation.
